Other names and notes
(Yellow Wakerobin). Similar in appearance to Toadshade (T. sissile) , but with a pale yellow stalkless flower that has erect yellow sepals with greenish veins. The stalkless leaves with mottled color resembling Hosta leaves.Tthree in number like all trilliums, they appear at the top of of the stem, which can be up to 15 feet high. The plant grows from thick rhizomes and will spread into a nice clump overtime. Like most Trilliums it will grow best in well drained soil in partial to full shade.

Notes: This plant was listed on Martha Crone's 1951 inventory of plants in the Garden at that time. The plant is not native to Minnesota but to a few states in the SE United States and Michigan. It is maintained as a historic Garden plant.
