Our educational support program includes printing for a limited number of newsletter copies, handouts for Garden visitors, and occasional history documents. Funding to public schools for our Transportation Grant Fund to bring school kids to the Wildflower Garden is another component.[Details on Student Transportation] Educational also includes the web hosting cost of our website. The website itself, is maintained by volunteer help. Website useage is 98.9% from people accessing educational material, which includes material on Garden plants and the long history of the Wildflower Garden.

Volunteers take part in long-established groups of people who staff the entrance kiosk, who are docents in the Martha Crone Shelter, and who take part in the activities of the Friends Invasive Plant Action Group. There are year-to-year short-term activities as well. [See our volunteer page]

Garden support includes, purchasing plants, assisting in funding surveys, with the largest fraction going to infrastructure, of which the largest projects historically have been the Martha Crone Shelter, fencing, front and back gates, and the recent wetland boardwalk. [More detail on all these projects]

None of the contributed funds are used for fund raising or administrative costs or fund raising. Those costs are funded by non-contribution revenue which includes sales and earnings on any invested funds, and those costs were 2.6% of revenue in 2025.
